What is Novel CoronaVirus?

Novel coronavirus, specifically called as coronavirus and also known as 2019-ncoV is a virus that largely caused an outbreak of respiratory illness in Wuhan, China that was linked to animal and seafood market that suggests animal-to-person spread. This is a family of viruses that are more commonly known to different species of animals like bats, cattle, cats and camels. Until now it is still unclear how it spreads so fast between people. 

How nCoV Spreads?

As mentioned before it is still unknown as to how it spreads so fast. Common knowledge were basically as what experts have noticed, person-to-person close contacts.

• Wear a protective face mask (if ill) to protect your loved ones.
• Seek medical attention if sick and if you have traveled from China during the time frame of the outbreak.
• Call the hospital and inform them immediately about your case for their own precaution.

• Wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol before putting on a face mask.
• Wear it by covering the nose and mouth making sure that there is no gaps between your face and mask.
• Don't touch the mask while it's on your face, if you did then make sure to clean your hands with soap and water or alcohol.
• To remove, take it from behind not touching the front and throw it immediately and properly.
• Wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol.
• Replace it with a new one, remember not to reuse the old one.

• Avoid traveling from other places except when you are to visit a medical care.
• Give the initiative of separating yourself from your family.
• Seek appointment and inform right away of your illness.
• Wear a facemask, likewise to your family.
• Clean your hands, wash it with soap and water.
• If coughing and sneezing,cover your it with tissue and throw it in a lined bin and wash your hand immediately.
• Avoid sharing household things.
• Monitor your symptoms and seek immediate help asap.

Is there a Treatment for 2019 nCoV ?

As of now, science found no treatment for 2019-nCoV and no specific medicine are recommended to treat this. Clinical trials are performed for a specific treatment. The World Health Organization are coordinating to help  and develop medicines along with it's partners. For now, for those who are infected with the virus, medical experts are treating the symptoms to relieve and those who are suffering from severe illness are given with optimized care and intensive care.

The very best thing you can do for now is to take precautions and protect yourself. Maintain a clean hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water as often as possible during the day whenever you are outside your home and avoid close contact with people who has respiratory illness like sneezing or coughing.
